Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Planner Opportunity

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Planner to oversee mechanical maintenance activities in our Liquid Packaging operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate weekly work between operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to ensure efficient execution.
  • Work with operations leaders and maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and maintain a three-week look-ahead on planned and ready work.
  • Run scheduling meetings and control the backlog of work notifications and work orders.
  • Create detailed Gantt schedules using MS-Project for all shutdown work.

Supervision:
  • Provide front-line supervision for production area mechanical maintenance team.
  • Schedule and execute maintenance work to ensure maximum reliability of all equipment.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure high quality of finished jobs.
  • Maintain and improve the preventive/predictive maintenance system.
  • Develop the capability of maintenance teams to achieve business results.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Trades qualifications in related mechanical trade such as millwright or mechanical engineering degree.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skill in performing Precision Maintenance.
  • Computer knowledge or skills to learn key aspects of maintenance management information system.
  • Prior scheduling experience, especially with MS-Project.
  • Prefer minimum of 2 years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings, prepare estimates for time and materials.
  • Ability to track/measure performance utilizing total quality methods/tools.
  • Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
  • High degree of initiative, motivation, and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, oral, and listening.
