Position Overview:
As the Maintenance Supervisor for our manufacturing facility, you will spearhead the maintenance operations, ensuring both reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance services are delivered on all operational machinery and facility infrastructure. Your role will involve creating and overseeing maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and enhancing operational effectiveness. You will be responsible for driving improvement plans and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement best practice maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational performance.
2. Collaborate on new business initiatives and assess their impact on maintenance activities.
3. Delegate maintenance tasks effectively, ensuring appropriate skill sets are utilized for each shift.
4. Conduct daily and weekly inspections to maintain smooth site operations.
5. Create and manage a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring all preventative measures are executed efficiently.
6. Audit engineering data systems for compliance and accuracy.
7. Schedule internal and external maintenance work to optimize downtime.
8. Manage the maintenance team to ensure machinery is operational and address any dysfunctions promptly.
9. Optimize equipment performance according to established procedures, ensuring quality standards are met.
10. Ensure facilities and machinery are operationally efficient and provide solutions as needed.
11. Oversee maintenance material expenditures and develop strategies for budget management.
12. Maintain high standards in data management for systems and equipment.
13. Lead the introduction of new machinery and manage the disposal of obsolete equipment.
14. Prepare reports and presentations as required.
15. Engage in continuous training and development for personal and team growth.
16. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
17. Identify opportunities for business improvements within the organization.
18. Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team.
19. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard staff and visitors.
20. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize performance.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
