The Nursing Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing patient care on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. This position involves planning, organizing, staffing, and directing nursing activities within the organization’s established standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for upholding the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards, fostering a culture of respect and courtesy among colleagues, physicians, and volunteers.
  • Facilitates a nurturing and healing environment, centering patient and family care throughout their journey within the healthcare system.
  • Leads and embraces change initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Supervises departmental staff, collaborating with management to ensure accountability and effective patient care. Involves in recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluations of team members.
  • Establishes work schedules and assigns daily tasks while participating in direct patient care as necessary.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with staff, other departments, and medical professionals.
  • Promotes a safe workplace by adhering to policies and procedures designed to prevent injuries and adverse outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN is mandatory.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care effectively, including the delegation and supervision of team members.
