Position Title: Building Engineer – Mid Shift (11:00 AM to 7:00 PM)

Job Overview:

The Building Engineer is responsible for the effective operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within our facilities. This role involves handling various building systems, including plumbing, air handling units, pumps, and control systems. The position requires physical strength and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Install and maintain electrical circuits and fixtures.
  • Conduct repairs on restroom fixtures and plumbing systems.
  • Perform minor carpentry and maintenance tasks, including ceiling tile replacement and door hardware repairs.
  • Execute routine maintenance on air handling units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the operation and inspection of emergency generators and related components.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs, reporting findings to supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proven skills in repairing building systems and securing them for maintenance.
  • Experience in soldering and brazing copper piping and threading black pipe.
  • Basic carpentry skills and familiarity with general building systems.
  • Valid driver's license required for operating company vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and procedures in maintenance operations.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.

Shift Details: Mid Shift, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Compensation: Rate range $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
