Neuroradiology Clinical Educator

Position Overview:

The Division of Neuroradiology within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Miami Health System and Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine is actively seeking a fellowship-trained professional for a full-time faculty role. This position is available at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Professor within the clinical educator track.

Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active clinical practice across both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Contribute to the education and advancement of medical students, residents, and fellows in diagnostic radiology.
  • Deliver clinical imaging services, interpreting plain film, CT, and MR studies.
  • Participate in teaching activities, including clinical research, journal clubs, and multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Oversee the performance of technical staff.
  • Be involved in the on-call radiology schedule.
  • Implement quality assurance measures related to neuroradiology practice.
  • Provide neuroradiology consultations as required.
  • Assist with administrative duties pertinent to neuroradiology.
  • Engage in educational activities related to neuroradiology across various programs.
  • Potentially contribute to the development and management of ongoing clinical research initiatives.
  • Serve on departmental and university committees as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical Degree, Diagnostic Radiology Residency, Neuroradiology Fellowship.
  • Certification: American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible; Florida Medical License or Eligible.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Neuroradiology is preferred. Experience in a university faculty setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret clinical imaging studies including plain film, CT, and MR.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students.

Practice Locations:

Faculty will practice at various affiliated sites, contributing to a broad range of clinical experiences.
