Practice Patient Service Representative

The Practice Patient Services Representative is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families. This role requires a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work harmoniously with others.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with appointment scheduling, confirmations, and ensure thorough and complete information is obtained to facilitate the appointment process.
- Interact with providers, practice staff, and billing representatives to ensure seamless communication.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Minimum of six (6) months of customer service, clerical, or front office experience.
- Preferred: Experience in a medical practice, clinic, or office setting, with knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems (scheduling/billing).
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Preferred: Some post-high school education, including Medical Office courses.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle interruptions in work-tasks due to greeting people and answering multi-phone lines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, judgment, and ability to work harmoniously with others.
This role is located in South Orange County and requires a sedentary work environment with occasional lifting and carrying of light objects.
Physical Activity RequirementsThis role requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking, as well as occasional bending, carrying, and lifting.
Sensory RequirementsThis role requires excellent hearing, vision, and color discrimination.Environment Requirements
This role requires working in a fast-paced medical office environment with occasional exposure to airborne communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and extreme noise levels.
