Role Responsibilities
The Engineering Project Manager will deliver project management expertise in executing the New Product Development (NPD) and Solutions Delivery Process (SDP) within the EnTech Division, collaborating closely with Corporate Engineering (CE) team members. This role will have a broad impact across all divisions of FTI. The Project Manager will spearhead cross-functional project teams, consisting of internal staff and/or OEM/supplier resources, to effectively plan and implement projects.

The Engineering Project Manager will partner with the cross-functional Leadership Team to ensure optimal resource allocation, develop project timelines, manage budgets, and communicate the progress and status of the Project Team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of successfully managing projects through a well-defined, stage-gated product development or solutions delivery process from concept to market launch, along with experience in leading, motivating, and managing technically oriented cross-functional teams to achieve significant project outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Project Management, Analytics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of demonstrated project management experience.
  • Recent experience in managing medium to large-scale projects with varying complexity.
  • Experience in leading medium to large project teams.
  • Management of project budgets ranging from $500k to $2M.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience engaging with Executive Leadership.
  • Required Certification: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma experience and familiarity with Stage-Gate NPD Process, SDLC experience.
  • Travel: 15-20% as needed.
  • Work Schedule: Flexibility in working hours, primarily between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working at various times to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of project management methodologies, specifically PMBOK, NPD, and SDP.
  • Collaborate with Project Sponsors and Solution Owners to ensure project scope is clearly defined and documented.
  • Work with Operations and Estimating teams to develop project budgets and costs for customer proposals.
  • Oversee all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and statements of work.
  • Establish and implement a project communication plan, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Demonstrate effective team leadership, stakeholder management, and risk management skills.
  • Proactively enhance project timelines through effective schedule management and progress tracking.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Engage team members in identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize motivational techniques to guide the project team towards achieving goals and milestones.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering staff to manage project budgets and costs.
  • Document project scope for customer review and ensure all design assumptions are recorded.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Plan, organize, and staff projects to ensure timely, profitable, and high-quality completion according to customer expectations.
  • Promote a positive company culture through constructive employee relations.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
