POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Mechanical Engineer II will engage in mechanical design for power system products, working under the guidance of a senior Engineer or Engineering Team Leader as designated by the Corporate Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in PC usage, Microsoft Office Suite, and have a solid understanding of Solidworks.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience or an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Technology with 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
Travel:
5-10%

WORK SCHEDULE:
This role operates between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work outside these hours as needed to fulfill business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Mentor Level 1 Engineers and Designers.
  • Transform prototype designs into commercially viable mechanical systems.
  • Conduct detailed calculations to ensure adequate system cooling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to discuss current or prospective product designs.
  • Provide oversight to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations for adherence to design and equipment specifications.
  • Compile data and prepare reports on engineering studies and projects.
  • Contribute to the development of technical manuals.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
  • Execute other related duties as assigned.
