Service Operations Leader Overview:

As a Service Operations Leader at W.W. Williams, you will oversee the coordination of workflow to not only meet but exceed client expectations. Your role will involve organizing tasks to achieve departmental goals by ensuring repair orders are completed efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for planning, staffing, and assessing departmental priorities to foster a collaborative environment among technicians, ensuring accountability for their assigned duties. Additionally, you will maintain a schedule that supports the timely execution of service and installation tasks. The Service Operations Leader guarantees that all scheduled work is conducted safely and meets customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding service by prioritizing quality and customer satisfaction; troubleshoot and resolve service-related issues; identify patterns; and suggest system enhancements and improvements.
  • Accurately assign parts and labor costs for clients, particularly in relation to warranty processes.
  • Enhance team performance by training staff, fostering a safe and engaging work atmosphere, and creating opportunities for personal development.
  • Support team growth by clearly communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance; coaching and guiding employees; and developing, implementing, and managing policies, procedures, and productivity benchmarks.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a heavy-duty truck or fleet service environment.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
