Associate Director of Development for Dartmouth Cancer Center

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Development for Dartmouth Cancer Center to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing qualification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies for a portfolio of prospective donors capable of making comprehensive gifts up to $5 Million in support of institutional priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement qualification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies for a portfolio of prospective donors.
- Identify prospective donors to participate in special events, committees, or other activities that promote the cultivation process.
- Partner with the Friends of the Dartmouth Cancer Center team to identify new major gift donors and develop strategies for increased giving from existing donors.
- Document and record all activities as appropriate in fundraising databases.
- 6+ years of experience in fundraising in a complex development organization.
- Experience working in an academic medical system or university environment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience soliciting and closing five and six-figure gifts.
- Ability to travel approximately 30-40% of working days; some evening work required.
- Experience working in an academic medical system or university environment.
