Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and review case management services for the assessment, purchase, and delivery of assistive technology services to customers.
  • Provide expertise and oversight in the purchasing process for vehicle modification, home modification, durable medical equipment, and equipment assessments for complex rehabilitation technology customer needs.
  • Ensure policy compliance and provide training, consultation, and technical assistance to staff, program contractors, and program providers.
  • Consult and coordinate with the purchasing specialist to ensure appropriate application of comparable benefits for customer services.
  • Conduct program analyses and research, assess service needs, and formulate program plans.
  • Assist in the preparation and justification of budget estimates as requested.
  • May assign and/or supervise the work of others.
Requirements

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human services, social science, business, or a related field, plus three years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in social and rehabilitative services work, teaching and counseling persons with disabilities, social services, medical eligibility, or entitlement programs.

Occasional statewide travel, 20% of work time, may require overnight lodging for up to four consecutive nights. Ability to lift and/or carry 10 pounds of work-related materials is also required.

The State of Texas benefits package includes health insurance, a retirement plan, and a variety of leave types. The salary for this position is $37,520.00 per month, depending on qualifications.
