Job Description

The Technology Support Specialist is a key role in our organization, responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our cast members to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide first-level support for network and system issues, escalating more complex problems to the Technology Systems Administrator or Engineer.
  2. Assist in monitoring network performance and reporting any anomalies or issues.
  3. Help with routine maintenance tasks such as software updates and basic configuration changes under supervision.
  4. Support Microsoft 365 users by addressing common issues related to account access, password resets, and basic application usage.
  5. Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access control under the guidance of senior staff.
  6. Provide basic troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 applications and escalate unresolved issues.
  7. Assist in the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of corporate and venue employee equipment, including laptops, PCs, and printers.
  8. Perform initial setup of workstations and ensure all necessary software and configurations are correctly applied.
  9. Provide on-site support for employees experiencing hardware or software issues, escalating as necessary.
  10. Provide first-level support for POS systems, including Movie Ticketing (Vista and RTS), Food and Beverage (Toast), Arcade (Intercard and Embed), and Bowling systems (Brunswick and Meriq).
  11. Assist in the troubleshooting of common POS system issues and escalate more complex problems to the Technology Systems Administrator or Engineer.
  12. Assist with providing user support and guidance on the basic use of POS systems.
  13. Help in organizing and conducting training sessions for end-users on the operation of POS systems.
  14. Maintain and update user guides and other documentation related to POS systems.
  15. Provide general support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization, responding to help desk tickets and direct requests.
  16. Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
  17. Support IT projects by assisting with the deployment of new technologies and providing operational support during implementation phases.
  18. Maintain accurate records of all support requests, solutions provided, and equipment configurations.
  19. Assist in generating reports on common issues and support metrics to help improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Exchange.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
