About the Position:

The Office of Transparency and Accountability is seeking a part-time FOIA Compliance Coordinator. This role involves supporting the management of FOIA requests, which includes reviewing and editing documents for necessary redactions, applying those redactions, and preparing documents for final dissemination. The office plays a crucial role in upholding the principles of transparency as mandated by state law.

The FOIA Compliance Coordinator will join the administration team of the Vice President and Chief Officer of Transparency. This individual will assist in facilitating FOIA requests across various departments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Required Qualifications:

Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications; Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities; Excellent interpersonal skills; Commitment to outstanding customer service; Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion; Flexibility to work varying hours, from 2 to 30 hours per week, based on departmental needs. This position requires adaptability to fluctuating workloads; Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF, along with basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with document redaction in Word and PDF formats is advantageous, though not mandatory.
