Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, you will deliver exceptional service to our guests while adhering to the highest standards of hospitality. Your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring a memorable experience for each patron.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement

  • Maintain a polished appearance and adhere to uniform standards while practicing excellent personal hygiene.
  • Greet guests warmly upon their arrival, offering a personalized welcome.
  • Utilize extensive menu knowledge to provide recommendations and address any inquiries, anticipating guests' needs.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages by verifying guest ages.
  • Accurately take and fulfill drink and food orders.
  • Deliver high-quality food and beverages, confirming that all orders are complete and visually appealing.
  • Attend to additional requests from guests promptly.
  • Keep the bar area tidy by pre-bussing and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Foster relationships with regular guests by remembering their names and preferences.
  • Provide unobtrusive service, ensuring guests feel attended to without being overwhelmed.
  • Handle phone inquiries and manage to-go orders efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness in your designated work area and pantry.
  • Engage in side work during slower periods, including rolling silverware and restocking supplies.
  • Execute service cycles and collaborate with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Utilize service recovery strategies to resolve any guest issues, striving for complete satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with management and colleagues regarding any service or product concerns.
Beverage Preparation
  • Craft and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following established recipes and standards.
Order Management
  • Input drink and food orders accurately using POS systems in accordance with company protocols.
  • Prepare, present, and process payments for guest checks efficiently.
  • Identify and rectify any operational issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accountability for cash handling and ensure bank balance accuracy.
Team Support
  • Keep the bar and common areas clean and organized.
  • Restock bar supplies as needed.
  • Prepare garnishes and mixers for beverage service.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of bar equipment and cleanliness of glassware.
  • Order necessary supplies from the bar manager.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Visual acuity to see at various distances and distinguish shapes.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Capability to reach heights and depths as required in the bar area.
  • High mobility and flexibility within the workspace.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Manual dexterity for operating equipment and preparing food.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
Supervision

Receive guidance and training from the Bar Manager or Manager on Duty regarding specific tasks and responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills

Basic understanding of bar operations and customer service principles. Training will be provided for specific skills as needed.
