Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Documentation Specialist (Nuclear Professional) to join our team at Spectraforce Technologies. As a key member of our Nuclear Safety Engineering Department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining nuclear safety documentation and implementing nuclear/chemical safety programs for assigned activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain safety basis documents, calculations, and design document reviews for nuclear facilities.
- Participate in and lead hazard analysis activities to support the development of safety basis documents.
- Prepare technical safety requirements and chemical safety management program elements.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and organizations to ensure effective implementation of nuclear safety programs.
- Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or other engineering field from an accredited college or university.
- 9-13 years of applicable experience in nuclear safety engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of DOE nuclear safety processes and approaches, including development of consequence calculations and criticality safety calculations.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience as a nuclear engineer at a major commercial, industrial, or nuclear facility.
- Experience working on DOE or DOD government projects, preferably design of nuclear or chemical process facilities.
- Experience developing technical safety requirements and performing hazards analyses.
