Nuclear Safety Specialist

Safety-Critical Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Specialist to join our team at Spectraforce Technologies. As a key member of our Nuclear Safety Engineering Department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining nuclear safety documentation and implementing nuclear/chemical safety programs for assigned activities within the WTP Nuclear Safety Engineering Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain safety basis documents, calculations, and design document reviews for HLW and associated facilities.
- Participate in and lead Hazard Analysis activities in support of the HLW Safety Basis Preparation of the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis.
- Develop plans and engineering studies to resolve technical issues and prepare Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) and Chemical Safety Management Program elements.
- Lead multidiscipline teams working to mature and finalize the HLW Safety Basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or other engineering field from an accredited college or university.
- 9-13 years of applicable experience, depending on level.
- Knowledge of DOE nuclear safety processes and approaches, including development of consequence calculations and criticality safety calculations.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
