We are seeking a skilled Master Mechanical Specialist to join our team at Energy Northwest, a leading nuclear power plant operator. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and associated tooling at our nuclear generating plant.

As a Master Mechanical Specialist, you will work on a variety of tasks, including:

  1. Installing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, and gearboxes.
  2. Repairing and testing valves, piping, and valve operators.
  3. Performing rigging duties and crane operation.
  4. Decontaminating, cleaning, and overhauling contaminated tools and equipment.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on specialized maintenance tasks, including:

  • Welding and machining.
  • HVAC maintenance.
  • Reactor vessel maintenance.
  • Specialized valve and valve operator maintenance.
  • Rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Diesel engine maintenance.
  • Fire protection maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of four years of applicable experience in the maintenance of equipment such as pumps, valves, engines, or HVAC units normally associated with power generating facilities. Journeyman classification requires four years of applicable experience achieved through successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship, 2-year trade school or equivalent military training plus three years of applicable experience, or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in the mechanical field plus three years of applicable experience.

The salary for this position is $59.52 per hour, and this role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
