Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer or Senior Principal Crew and Equipment Responsible Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role will involve acting as the Responsible Engineer across multiple vendors for supplier-developed installations, performing source selection for major components, and defining design and test requirements that are flowed down to suppliers through procurement documents.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Responsible Engineer across multiple vendors for supplier-developed installations
- Perform source selection for major components, such as seats
- Define design and test requirements that are flowed down to suppliers through procurement documents
- Work with suppliers to deliver products that meet requirements and support program schedule and cost targets
- Attend or present at internal program, customer, and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a related STEM discipline and 3 years of relevant experience
- Active DoD Secret or Interim Top Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience
- Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Aircraft Crew and Equipment subsystems design or supplier experience
- Experience with integration of cabinets, pallets, seats, electrical cabinets, etc.
- Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $92,600 - $139,000, with the potential for a discretionary bonus. We also provide a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
