Principal Mission Management Equipment Responsible Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mission Management Equipment Responsible Engineer to join our team of talented professionals in Melbourne, FL.
This role will be responsible for the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of mission management equipment systems. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing and data storage, as well as experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of related professional/military experience.
The successful candidate will also have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope, and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. Additionally, they will have demonstrated experience in Ethernet-based networking design, to include IP address planning, switching, and routing, as well as working knowledge of cyber security and Risk Managed Framework (RMF), STIGs and associated elements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture
- Design and develop computer and network architectures, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis
- Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to supplier current and future products offerings
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
- Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support
- Developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work
- Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
- Review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of related professional/military experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Demonstrated experience in Ethernet-based networking design, to include IP address planning, switching, and routing
- Working knowledge of cyber security and Risk Managed Framework (RMF), STIGs and associated elements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Posess a DODD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of Ethernet based avionics bus interfaces, integrated avionics systems, and operational ground systems
- Demonstrated understanding of IP address planning, VLANs, ACLs, encapsulation, switching, routing, QoS, service and/or application protocols
- Experience with authentication and data encryption methods, to include securing communications at either the data-link or network layer
- Experience with embedded systems, Unix and Linux operating systems, non-Cisco routing environments, single board computers, servers and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions
- Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Active Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
