Senior Principal Crew Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Crew Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining aircraft crew systems design configurations using current engineering practices and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain aircraft crew systems design configurations
- Support the development of primary designs, maturation of designs into a system of systems, and working as a SMT (Supplier Management Team)
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, management teams, and customers to ensure coordinated and compliant designs
- Evaluate and verify requirements to ensure airworthiness criteria are met
- Perform source selection for components and work with suppliers to deliver products that meet requirements and support program schedule and cost targets
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Experience in Oxygen Breathing Gas Systems in the Aerospace industry
- Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Aircraft Crew Breathing Systems Using On-Board Oxygen Generating System design or supplier experience
- Analysis of Oxygen System Performance and compliance with MIL-STD-3050
- Experience with integration of cabinets, pallets, seats, electrical cabinets, etc.
- Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
$114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
