Job Description

As a Lead Repair Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of repairs for the overall Aeroderivative engine fleet. This includes the LM500, LM5000, LM6000, LM2500, LMS100, and LM1600 products.

The team is instrumental in supporting our Aviation repair shops and our customer repair shops to meet financial targets and enhance their repair capability to service the end users of our Aeroderivative products.

You will work to make decisions, apply concepts, and resolve issues on assigned projects guided by established business policies, procedures, standards, and best practices. Your role will impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team, and you will have significant input into priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop repair and inspection technologies to meet short-term and long-term business needs
  • Work across functions in the development, implementation, and final industrialization of a repair to support our shops and customer shops
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services as it pertains to repair
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting assigned projects to find creative solutions to complex problems with technical variety and/or interdependent processes
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, including leadership
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue, including timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an engineering role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Early adopter of change, adjusting to find faster, simpler approaches that are impactful
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
