Job Overview

As a seasoned Software Engineer Lead at JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Digital Communications platform. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, guiding them towards success and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality software applications on-time, meeting requirements and roadmap commitments.
  • Write and review high-quality code that serves as a benchmark for other engineers, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
  • Share and teach software engineering best practices, principles, and methodologies, including data structures, multithreading, and algorithms.
  • Review and share areas of technical improvement within existing applications, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and operational support models by documenting applications, ensuring seamless handovers and knowledge retention.
  • Teach and enforce the use of unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing, AGILE ceremonies, and proper Change, Release, and Problem Management best practices.
  • Teach and coach SRE best practices, uplifting systems and processes to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Participate in regular capacity and roadmap planning sessions, aligning with known velocity and business objectives.
  • Engage with Product Partners to clarify business requirements and achieve go-live signoff, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Automate the CI/CD pipeline and engage in post-deployment validation best practices, ensuring continuous delivery and quality.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in a related field or 6+ years of professional experience as a leading technical SME.
  • Experience with Java/Spring Boot and advanced knowledge of event-driven, microservice, REST/API, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, multithreading, and algorithms, with expertise in Kafka and/or other message-based processing technologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of databases, either relational or NoSQL, and possess knowledge of standard application architectures, clean coding, and best practices.
