Leidos is seeking a skilled Field Engineering Technician to provide field inspections of utility poles in the Central New Jersey and Pittsburgh areas.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, hourly role with flexible work hours and a competitive pay range of $31-$57,575.00. The successful candidate will travel to various locations to collect data, take measurements, and photos of utility poles with maintenance concerns.

Responsibilities:
  • Travel to Central New Jersey and Pittsburgh areas to inspect utility poles
  • Collect data, take measurements, and photos of poles with maintenance concerns
  • Document concerns and collect necessary data for Leidos designers to design solutions and fixes
  • Meet weekly goals and expectations set by supervisor
  • Communicate status and progress effectively
Requirements:
  • High School diploma minimum requirement
  • Preferred candidate has experience in the power distribution field and/or an AS/BS in engineering (or related STEM field)
  • Prior experience in field work and distribution component identification
  • Ability to work in team and independent environments
  • Knowledge of NESC Standards and Client Standards
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
