Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician I to join our team at Cornell University Hospital for Animals. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care according to hospital protocols and clinician orders.
  • Perform phlebotomy, intravenous and urinary catheter placement, and administer medication accurately.
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and follow surgical or diagnostic procedures.
  • Use various monitoring equipment, including pulse oximetry, ECG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitors.
  • Advise and support DVM students throughout your shift.
  • Continuously develop and improve your clinical skills.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Expected to obtain NYS licensure within 3 months.
  • Up to 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
