Route Sales and Service Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Route Sales and Service Representative to join our team at Schwebel Baking Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling and merchandising our complete line of quality products to existing and new accounts while driving a Schwebel bread truck.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell, deliver, stock, and merchandise Schwebel brand products to grocery stores, restaurants, schools, and food retailers.
  • Provide excellent customer service while building relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Responsible for early morning delivery of products and maintaining a clean and organized truck.
  • Solicit new customers to grow business and communicate product knowledge and suggestive sell.
  • Responsible for ordering bread products and conducting daily pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Must have a safe driving record and be able to adapt quickly to different working and driving conditions.

Requirements:

  • Prior route sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older for insurance purposes.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to secure a DOT physical.
  • Must have a safe driving record and be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Previous wholesale commercial bread sales experience a plus.
  • Must be handheld computer literate and able to adapt quickly to different working and driving conditions.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Constantly reaching; frequently sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and driving.
  • Occasionally pushing and or pulling up to 300lbs.
