Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse delivers direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes effective communication techniques in daily practice. Ensures a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing challenges based on individual patient needs. The Registered Nurse formulates personalized patient care plans using an interdisciplinary approach. Engages in performance improvement initiatives. Provides care and coordinates efforts that align with the hospital's mission and vision.


When assuming the charge nurse role, Registered Nurses oversee daily operations to guarantee quality patient care in a therapeutic setting.

Assign staff based on patient needs, acuity, and staff skills. Act as a role model and clinical resource for the team. Respond promptly to inquiries or follow-ups with physicians, staff, or patient concerns.

Responsibilities in this Role:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care requirements.
- Execute physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care.
- Educate and instruct patients and their families.
- Provide care that is appropriate for age and cultural background.

Qualifications:
- Current licensure in the state of practice or Compact State.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
