Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming smile, answering their inquiries and directing them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Utilize our electronic health record system to manage patient schedules, appointments, and medical records.
  • Handle patient calls and effectively manage our patient flow to minimize missed appointments.
  • Evaluate daily schedules to ensure seamless patient care and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collect co-pays and patient payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Check patients in and out, making follow-up appointments as indicated.
  • Provide emotional support to patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions.
  • Maintain our business office inventory and equipment by ordering supplies and scheduling repairs.
  • Respond to emergencies and protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to our team effort by accomplishing related tasks and taking direction as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
