Position Overview

The Hound is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences. The Front of House Management team plays a crucial role in ensuring that every guest enjoys top-notch service and high-quality food and beverages.

The Front of House Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, maintaining company standards, and ensuring that all guests leave satisfied. This role involves motivating and educating staff to provide outstanding customer service while acting as a bridge between the restaurant team and upper management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, from opening to closing.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of excellent food and beverage service.
  • Manage daily cash handling and control minor expenses.
  • Create weekly staff schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both Front of House and Back of House teams.
  • Anticipate and address customer needs and complaints.
  • Supervise the daily tasks of all Front of House personnel.
  • Handle hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of front of house staff.
  • Contribute to the growth of The Hound by implementing innovative and efficient operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory and minimize waste across all departments.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
  • 1-4 years of managerial experience in a restaurant setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, supported by references.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Excellent leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial management capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Google and Microsoft Office.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $38,000 - $46,000 based on experience.
