Director of Inclusive Student Success and Engagement

Loyola Marymount University seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Belonging. As a key member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, this individual will be responsible for shaping and executing initiatives that enrich the student experience and promote a culture of inclusivity, success, and belonging.
Job SummaryThe Associate Vice President for Student Success and Belonging will oversee a team of dedicated professionals working across various units to advance student success and belonging initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to drive meaningful change and enhance the educational experience of all students.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Ethnic and Intercultural Services Portfolio, providing leadership to staff and overseeing programs and services that support diverse populations.
- Supervise the Director of Student Employment Services, ensuring effective management of student employment programs and processes.
- Provide leadership and support for Inclusive Belonging and Dialogue across Difference (DxD) Initiatives, fostering communication and collaboration across areas of difference.
- Oversee the Operational Management of Student Access and Belonging Portfolio, directing activities within units and supervising staff engaged in administering student services and alumni engagement.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs and/or higher education.
- At least 5 years of experience supervising and mentoring full-time student affairs professionals.
- Extensive knowledge of student development theory and current issues in higher education related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
The estimated salary for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Loyola Marymount University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
