Job Title: Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Thomas & Hutton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and drafting construction plans, preparing contract documents, and conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and drafting of construction plans, preparation of contract documents, and quantity take-offs for stormwater capital improvement projects.
  • Perform and/or conduct hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, and water quality analysis of open channel and/or closed conduit stormwater collection systems.
  • Ability to design site-specific best management practices (BMPs) to achieve permitting requirements.
  • Preparation of permit applications and supporting documentation to obtain regulatory construction permits.
  • Preparation of one- and two-dimensional hydrologic/hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, documents, and exhibits, and drainage reports.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of total engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience including Hydrology & Hydraulic design and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License with ability to obtain reciprocity in Georgia or South Carolina within six months of hire.
