Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Control Agent to join our team at Southeast Airport Services, Inc. in Charlotte, NC. As a Traffic Control Agent, you will be responsible for providing traffic control, enforcement of parking regulations, and effective customer service to the public and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Traffic Flow: Safely direct the traffic flow in front of the terminal buildings, concourses, and other areas throughout the airport.
  • Respond to Public Requests: Respond to public requests for service in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Identify and Report Security Breaches: Identify and report criminal activities and security breaches to airport authorities.
  • Anticipate Customer Needs: Anticipate customer needs and provide guidance in a professional manner.
  • Analyze Customer Situations: Analyze customer situations and make decisions on circumstances in relation to airport rules.
  • Ensure Public Compliance: Ensure public compliance with existing parking ordinances.
  • Assist in Traffic Control: Assist in traffic control at accidents and special events.
  • Monitor Safety Hazards: Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Maintain Safety Focus: Maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on safety throughout all job functions.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively and work with difficult people under high-stress situations.
Requirements
  • Valid Security License: Possess a valid Security License (Guard Card).
  • High School Diploma: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Customer Service Experience: Have one year of previous customer service experience.
Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to provide information to the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
  • Positive Attitude: Positive, safety-conscious attitude.
  • Customer-Focused Solutions: Experience delivering customer-focused solutions and leading process improvement efforts that deliver satisfaction.
  • First Aid Certification: Currently certified or able to become certified in First Aid or equivalent level certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for a prolonged period of time.
  • Non-Traditional Hours: Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Clear Communication: Clear and articulate written and oral communication skills.
