Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary clinical support to healthcare providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical records.
  • Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for healthcare providers.
  • Provide direct clinical care as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist healthcare providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork.
  • Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to healthcare providers, and respond to patient questions and requests.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of healthcare providers and per scope of practice.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
