Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As an LPN in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments, and performing diagnostic studies
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice
  • Precept and mentor new staff and students in a professional and positive manner

Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing
  • Current and/or prior PICU or inpatient pediatrics experience preferred
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
