POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Bilingual Warehouse Operations will report directly to the Logistics Director and will be tasked with the comprehensive oversight and management of multiple Distribution Centers (DCs). This role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, overseeing a substantial workforce, and managing an extensive inventory valued at over $100 million. The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the safety, receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, ensuring compliance with established lead time goals.
  • Ensure accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Implement effective warehouse workflows, including receiving, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Direct customization and repacking operations to meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Optimize the arrangement of goods within the distribution center to maximize productivity and meet delivery targets.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain oversight of inventory practices, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper rotation.
  • Implement control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize inventory levels.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for discrepancies and develop action plans.
  • Establish and monitor cost control programs.

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of warehouse managers and supervisors.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing levels, address turnover, and resolve employee issues.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • Drive the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) essential for the success of the distribution centers, including On-Time Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, and Logistic Costs.
  • Implement strategies to exceed performance targets and promote operational excellence.

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety through regular audits and incident investigations.
  • Maintain workplace health and safety standards in accordance with established guidelines.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through process improvements and best practices.
  • Introduce new technologies and automation to streamline warehouse operations.

CUSTOMER FOCUS

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order fulfillment.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and oversee the annual budget for warehouse operations.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

SECURITY AND MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure the security of the facility and equipment.
  • Generate regular reports on operational performance.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and respond to changing environments.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.
