POSITION SUMMARY

The Bilingual Senior Warehouse Operations Manager will report directly to the Logistics Director and will oversee the strategic management of multiple distribution centers. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient inbound and outbound logistics, managing a substantial inventory, and coordinating operations across various divisions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse processes, improving productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the safety, receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to lead time objectives.
  • Ensure accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Implement effective warehouse workflows, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Direct customization and repacking operations to meet client specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Strategically plan the layout of goods within the warehouse to maximize efficiency and meet delivery targets.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Supervise inventory management practices to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper rotation.
  • Establish and enforce inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for inventory discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor and manage cost control initiatives and inventory procedures.

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of warehouse supervisors and managers.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment that encourages accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing levels, oversee overtime, and address employee turnover and absenteeism.
  • Resolve personnel issues and provide training and development opportunities.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

  • Drive the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) essential for the success of warehouse operations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously monitor KPIs to foster a culture of accountability and improvement.

SAFETY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout warehouse operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and lead investigations into incidents as necessary.
  • Maintain workplace health and safety standards in accordance with established guidelines.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

  • Lead initiatives to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Explore new technologies and automation solutions to streamline operations.

CUSTOMER FOCUS

  • Collaborate with various departments to align with customer expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of order fulfillment accuracy and timeliness.

BUDGET AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and oversee the annual budget for warehouse operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

SECURITY AND MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure the security of facilities and equipment, overseeing maintenance activities.
  • Generate regular reports on operational performance.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Must be bilingual in either Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
