Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures, coordinating workflow, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Coordinate the workflow of the radiology department, delegating tasks and overseeing the work of staff members.
  • Supervise and guide staff in carrying out their duties, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of work flow, ensuring that departmental standards are met.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including performance appraisals, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with monitoring performance improvement plans and implementing external and internal audit recommendations.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography (M).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training.
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible Mammography Technologist work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.
  • Strong analytical and clinical skills, with the ability to determine the most appropriate method of providing radiographs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse atmosphere.
