Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Mammography Technologist Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and overseeing the performance of mammography procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of mammography technologists, ensuring that procedures are performed according to established standards and protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of mammography images, ensuring that they meet the required standards for diagnostic accuracy.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that mammography equipment is functioning properly and that images are of high quality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that mammography services are provided in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to mammography technologists, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the quality of mammography services.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (M).
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible mammography technologist work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of mammography equipment and procedures, as well as quality control and quality assurance principles.
