Position Overview

The Motorcycle Sales Consultant is responsible for facilitating vehicle sales while achieving dealership profit margins, sales volume, and customer satisfaction benchmarks. This role encompasses several key areas: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up. The potential income for this position ranges from $50,000 to $95,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recognize that customer satisfaction is the foundation of our business and commit to ensuring customer contentment.
  • Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through effective questioning and active listening.
  • Showcase vehicles, including conducting test drives.
  • Guide customers through the vehicle delivery process, ensuring they understand the operating features, warranty, and necessary paperwork, which fosters customer loyalty.
  • Set personal income objectives aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, and performance analyses.
  • Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and how they benefit customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely reconditioning of vehicles.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturers.
  • Maintain a system for prospect development.
  • Implement an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review and assess daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions to optimize time management and planning.
  • Understand automotive terminology and keep updated on technological advancements in the industry.
  • Comprehend equity and values, and effectively explain depreciation to customers.
  • Be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail vehicle sales.
  • Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality and efficiency of available services.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promptly reporting any incidents to management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to meet minimum sales quotas as per dealership standards.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is required for all applicants.
  • Commitment to performing duties safely.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment assessments, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, credit reports, and valid driver's license verification.
