Position Overview

The Motorcycle Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position encompasses several key responsibilities, including personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up. The potential earnings for this role range from $50,000 to $95,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on customer satisfaction to build lasting relationships.
  • Assess each customer's motorcycle needs through effective questioning and active listening.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations, including test drives.
  • Facilitate the delivery of motorcycles, ensuring customers understand operating features, warranties, and necessary paperwork.
  • Set personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, and performance reviews.
  • Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and their benefits to customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturers.
  • Maintain a system for prospect development.
  • Implement an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
  • Understand automotive terminology and keep updated on technological advancements.
  • Explain vehicle equity and depreciation to customers effectively.
  • Comprehend federal, state, and local regulations governing retail motorcycle sales.
  • Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality of service and maintenance available.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to meet minimum sales quotas as per dealership standards.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is required for all applicants.
  • Commitment to performing duties safely and responsibly.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
