Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Racker as a full-time Preschool Support Specialist, working 31 hours per week with young children in a specialized integrated classroom setting. This role involves training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to effectively support the unique strengths and needs of autistic students. Candidates with RBT certification are encouraged to apply, as supervision will be provided.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized support to each child in the classroom while assisting with their participation in group activities.
- Facilitating self-help skills such as potty training and daily living tasks.
- Engaging in data collection and analysis to monitor student progress.
- Preparing educational materials and assisting the teacher in classroom management.
- Collaborating with the teaching staff to enhance the learning environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual children and assist with the overall needs of the classroom under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Provide direct care, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and dressing.
- Collaborate with the teacher to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Review IEPs and relevant information to aid in the children's social-emotional and educational development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support skill development.
- Accept constructive feedback from supervisors and contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Attend all necessary meetings and provide input regarding classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records and collect data as required.
- Communicate professionally with families as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assist in maintaining classroom operations in the absence of the special education teacher.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment through professional conduct.
- Complete required training and uphold professional standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
