About the Role

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled MRI Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MRI services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize Patient Flow: Ensure efficient and timely completion of MRI examinations, minimizing wait times and maximizing patient satisfaction.
  • Patient Safety and Screening: Verify patient identification, review medical history, and conduct thorough safety screenings to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for patients.
  • Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff, demonstrating a commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete documentation, and perform other administrative duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Preference for two years of experience in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing work volumes and priorities.
Physical Requirements

The MRI Support Specialist must be able to push, pull, bend, and safely transfer patients without assistance. Regularly standing, walking, and moving throughout the department is also required.
