Special Education Teacher for Preschool Children

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Special Education Teacher to join our team at Racker. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to preschool children with autism in our intensive 6:1:3 classroom program.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans for each child, ensuring their unique needs are met.
- Provide direct instruction and support to children, as well as leadership and guidance to paraprofessionals in the classroom.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to interpret IEPs and provide direction for carryover skills.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings to share educational perspectives and address children's needs.
- Utilize problem-solving techniques to resolve issues and come to conclusions with the team.
- Provide support and information to families, promoting open communication and mutual understanding.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and attend meetings as requested by the supervisor and site director.
- Prepare required reports, including quarterly progress reports and daily attendance records.
- A Master's degree in Special Education or equivalency is required.
- New York State Certification in Special Education is a must.
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis in a classroom setting is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000-$60,000, depending on experience, as well as tuition assistance, health insurance, and a 20% discount on childcare services for children and grandchildren of staff.
