Job Overview

Position: Onsite Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required)

Salary Range: $50/hr - $60/hr (1099 Contract)

Key Responsibilities

The Onsite Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, combined with five to seven years of relevant experience.
  • Applying technical expertise to ensure successful outcomes across critical tasks.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Exhibiting a high level of proficiency in systems administration and information technology principles.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, including technical writing for manuals, reports, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in configuring and installing network devices and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with VMware virtualization tools, including vSphere, and their integration with network systems.
  • Skills in performing routine system maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
  • Experience in logical isolation of virtual environments to facilitate isolated testing.
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing NetApp storage networks.
  • Military background or experience as a DoD contractor is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with DoD-standard endpoint toolsets for Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert are preferred.
