About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various industrial applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems, including DCS/PLC programming, control panel design, and instrumentation.
  • Develop and implement system design calculations and analysis, including short circuit protection, harmonics, and noise reduction.
  • Interface with facility design to optimize panel location and minimize voltage drop.
  • Develop and implement control system redundancy to minimize single points of failure.
  • Develop schematics of control system configuration, wiring, network layout, and equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD.
  • Assist with the initial start-up and debugging of integrated systems and the development of system documentation.
  • Act as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Act as Project Manager on smaller projects, including developing and executing implementation plans, assigning work, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems, instrumentation, and PLC programming.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and control system design software.
  • Strong knowledge of contract documents and specifications, as well as ability to collect field data and accurately record findings.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
