Position Overview: IMPACT 211 is a vital 24/7 Contact Center. As a Community Resource Specialist (CRS) Intern, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders, reflecting IMPACT's dedication to outstanding service, collaboration, and value addition. Your responsibilities will include managing the IMPACT 211 information and referral line, which encompasses responding to incoming chats and texts. In your capacity as a CRS Intern, you will engage in activities such as assessing problems, identifying solutions, providing information and referrals, and assisting clients in formulating action plans related to family, health, and social services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct customer satisfaction assessments through outbound calls to previous clients
- Provide compassionate and unbiased assessment, solution identification, information, and referral services
- Support clients in developing actionable plans
- Obtain consent from clients prior to conducting Customer Satisfaction Surveys during initial interactions
- Accurately document client interactions in a digital database and other systems
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings
- Adapt effectively to necessary changes in procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations to uphold client confidentiality
- Actively engage in the organization's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives
- Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a collaborative spirit
- Positive demeanor with a willingness to accept and provide constructive feedback
- Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management capabilities
- Ability to approach a diverse clientele with a non-judgmental attitude
- Capacity to work in alignment with program goals and manage stressful situations

- Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year college program
- Essential proficiency in computer skills
- Must reside within a specified distance from IMPACT
- This is an unpaid remote internship opportunity
