We are currently looking for an Environmental Engineering Project Leader to join our dynamic team. This role involves minimal supervision, where the Level III Engineer (CG07/CG08) will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing engineering projects related to remediation systems, while also providing general design services.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Manager and will be accountable to senior staff members. Strong client relationships, particularly in California and/or Colorado, along with extensive experience in environmental projects, project management, site assessments, and remediation are essential.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project documentation in alignment with client specifications and company guidelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide technical oversight for engineering requirements specific to projects.
  • Design and manage engineering initiatives.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
  • Manage project budgets, approve invoices, and lead project teams while offering high-level consulting support.
  • Contribute to proposal development and budget formulation.
  • Supervise junior staff, both remotely and on-site as necessary.
  • Experience with vapor mitigation and HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering Registration (PE) is preferred.
  • Completion of a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPR course.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
  • 5-10 years of professional consulting experience in site assessment, characterization, and remediation.
  • Understanding of groundwater extraction and treatment systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Work Environment:

This position requires flexibility to operate in both office and outdoor settings related to engineering fieldwork. Candidates should be comfortable in both environments. Duties may involve extended periods of sitting at a computer, as well as physical activities such as walking, stooping, and lifting. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
