Position Summary

The Regional Human Resources Leader is tasked with managing recruitment, employee retention, onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. This role is pivotal in developing and enforcing HR policies and procedures while maintaining accurate employee records and reports. The individual will work closely with plant management to address business challenges and provide effective HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver HR support across multiple manufacturing facilities (approximately 2-3 locations).
  • Guide line management on performance management, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to conduct employee engagement initiatives, including stay interviews and feedback sessions.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics related to employee satisfaction, turnover, and engagement, developing strategies to enhance retention.
  • Oversee sensitive investigations regarding employee relations, including discrimination and harassment complaints.
  • Lead annual performance management and talent development initiatives to foster employee growth.
  • Manage the performance review and merit increase processes for both salaried and hourly staff.
  • Work with the Corporate Benefits Team to communicate and manage employee benefits and wellness programs.
  • Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition to create job postings and implement effective recruitment strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Passionate about employee engagement and capable of maintaining a positive demeanor under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to adapt to new software systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to navigate complex challenges independently.
  • Willingness to conduct meetings and training sessions outside of regular hours as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field with significant HR experience.
  • Experience in multi-site HR management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various HR disciplines, including compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
  • SHRM certification is preferred or the ability to obtain it within a year of employment.
