Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Homeless Resource Outreach Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships within the houseless community, homeless providers, and neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect houseless individuals with resources and services to address their individual needs.
  • Anticipate and respond to Homeless Services Division team requests and needs.
  • Articulate positive reinforcement, proactiveness, and transformation that leads to stabilization and/or housing security.
  • Conduct neighborhood-friendly approaches with grass roots organizations, homeless providers, and business stakeholders.
  • Document and record daily client interactions, including triage of individual needs, contacts, referrals, and site conditions.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience working within outreach or homelessness services.
  • Must be eligible to complete Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, and Equity training within 90 days.
  • Must be willing to work first or second shift, weekends, extended hours, overtime, and/or varying duty hours as deemed necessary.
