About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Competency Coordinator to join our team at JRI Inc. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our adolescent students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recreational and competency life skill-based activities for our students, promoting their physical, emotional, and social growth.
  • Work closely with students to identify their strengths and interests, and help them develop life skills such as cooking, banking, and vocational skills.
  • Establish and maintain community connections through volunteering, art classes, and athletics, providing students with opportunities for socialization and personal growth.
  • Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing effective coping strategies and role-modeling positive behaviors.

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Mental Health setting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, teams, and external partners are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with managing scheduling are required.
  • Activity planning and community outreach experience is preferred.
  • Maintains a valid driver's license, as transporting students is required.
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
