In this role, you will oversee marketing, sales, and the cultivation of business opportunities and relationships with prospective clients.
Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks requiring extensive knowledge of the space industry, telecommunications, RF electronic products, technology commercialization, market analysis, relationship management, and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continuously assessing the commercial and DOD aerospace telecommunications electronics market potential and trends.
- Identifying new opportunities and preparing RFI and RFP responses.
- Engaging with existing and potential clients.
- Collaborating with engineering and product development teams to identify market gaps and demands.
- Contributing to the strategic and R&D roadmaps for the organization.
- Driving top-line revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aerospace electronics sales and marketing, particularly in RF and telecommunications equipment.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, articulate, adaptable, quick to understand business needs, a team player, an excellent communicator, and eager to learn.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical or business-related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant business development experience in the space or aerospace sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of market analytics and technology planning and commercialization.
- Experience in leading business development initiatives, including formulating win strategies and shaping customer deals.
- Demonstrated expertise in solution selling and developing new markets, with proven leadership from inception to successful engagement of strategic campaigns.
- Familiarity with government contracting and current acquisition trends.
- Prior experience in developing business with government and DoD clients.
- Proven ability to create and implement effective business plans.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Exceptional interpersonal and professional skills.
- A positive, collaborative attitude.
- Effective presentation skills and experience leading client meetings.
